The Origins of EDF

To understand what EDF is today, it is necessary to look back.

First of all, it was 1985 when I founded my first company dedicated to creating educational multimedia content. It is worth noting that, in those years, the worlds of computing and training were just taking their first steps. Discussing digital learning felt like an almost futuristic conversation topic. However, it wasn’t until 2006—witnessing the real momentum this new educational model was beginning to gain—that I decided to create Entornos de Formación, with the hope that digital technology would play a key role in the education of tomorrow.

Overcoming the challenges of e-learning

Furthermore, as is common in any growth process, EDF had to overcome obstacles inherent to the sector. Initially, e-learning generated many doubts; some believed that academic training could only take place within a physical classroom. Consequently, we found ourselves in a market that was not yet ready to take that step. Over time, this obstacle turned into a very clear lesson: listen to the client, anticipate their needs, and always offer the highest possible value. Since then, EDF has grown with a very defined philosophy: to be a boutique company—close, specialized, and focused on providing real solutions.

A committed senior team

Moreover, none of this journey would have been possible without the people who have been, and are, part of EDF. In a sector as fast-changing as technology, where employee turnover is common, we have been fortunate to continue relying on a senior and committed team throughout all these years. People like Victor, Miguel Pellicer, who worked with me for twelve years in project development; Victor Manuel Benet Anchel, with a long history at the company; Francisco Saez Segura, our technological benchmark for over a decade; or Andrés Martínez Soto, now CTO, whose creative and restless mind drives us to keep evolving day after day. Joining them is a committed and professional team working on projects in Spain, Latin America, Europe, and the United States.

In conclusion, if EDF is today a company with a long track record of quality and recognition, it is thanks to a cohesive team, eager to take on new challenges to keep growing, and guided by shared values such as the honesty and professionalism we bring to every project.
