The Creation of EdulD
For several years now, at EDF, we have always believed that students’ educational needs should be grouped into a single space.
The idea for EdulD arose precisely from a real-world need presented to us by Florida Universitària: to replace physical ID cards with a digital version that would make students’ lives easier. After brainstorming sessions and extensive workshops, we realized the vast potential EdulD held as an application. It wouldn’t just serve as a digital ID; it would also be effective for other educational services tailored to high school, universities, and vocational training.
EdulD incorporates what we like to call the “student’s backpack,” as the app gathers every educational requirement a student might have: pending tasks, exam schedules, meetings with professors, and more.
Ultimately, EdulD seeks to simplify a student’s daily organization within a single digital space. Furthermore, considering the fast-paced times we live in, we have included an AI assistant to resolve doubts about pending activities, upcoming events, and other queries. All of this is aligned with the current landscape, the future of the European Digital ID, and the interoperability regulations currently being developed at the European level.
Behind EdulD is a committed team that has meticulously managed every detail of the product’s creation process. Led by Andrés Martínez Soto (CTO) and a team of up to three people, they have worked with precision and cohesion to ensure the application is as flexible and useful as possible for school life.
The more centralized and accessible information is for students, the easier it will be for them to evolve in their educational journey and improve their academic achievements.
